Urban forestry
Climate change and increasingly unpredictable and violent weather events are under our eyes, but the large CO2 reduction operations at the source of industrial production are struggling to take off. A complementary and concrete perspective of mitigating the impact of CO2 is therefore that of "urban forestation": massive and widespread increase in planting, to mitigate the impact of sun and rain on the earth, capture CO2, make even the most suburbs socially welcoming. industrialized or degraded.
What are the real scientific needs and possibilities of these environmental policies? What are the costs and benefits? How can contemporary art and urban planning make this emergency evident and then favor the spread in the urban context of this new way of understanding living?
