The Study Week is an unmissable appointment for economics scholars. It takes place every year in Prato beginning on the second Sunday of May.
The 52nd edition of the Study Week will take place from 10 to 13 May 2020 with the theme "Fashion as an economic engine: process and product innovation, new commercial strategies, consumer behavior".
The Study Week is organized by the International Institute of Economic History "F. Datini", the most important international institute operating in the field of economic history of the pre-industrial age (13th-18th centuries).
The International Institute of Economic History "F. Datini" has been operating as a foundation since January 1, 2007, and is supported by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities.
Scientific activity is entrusted to a committee of scholars from the main universities of the western world.
The Institute has a specialized library with hundreds of precious volumes to which are added the institute's publications, the working papers, the research notebooks, the scattered works of Federigo Melis who wanted the constitution in the Sixties. Much is also due to the studies of Fernand Braudel, who took up the baton. Finally, the institute publishes a newsletter and a series of e-books.
