The Prato Autism Friendly project was born thanks to the collaboration of all the partners who supported and encouraged it. The whole network of collaboration, in fact, has undertaken to ensure that the project could have concreteness and voice throughout the city of Prato.
All partners carry out various activities related to the theme of disability and in particular, the network moves towards the following lines:
• information on issues related to autism; • specific training on behavioral cognitive techniques of all the figures that revolve around people with autism; • support and expansion of services; • connection, collaboration and monitoring activities; • support to regional directorates for the coordination; and implementation of regional disability policies; • information and advice on accessibility and architectural barriers; • monitoring of initiatives and projects on accessibility to new technologies; • advice to public operators involved in the paths dedicated to people with disabilities; • promotion of initiatives on the regional territory for a real dissemination of the culture of accessibility and for the inclusion of people with disabilities. The project stems from the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding signed between 5 key local players:
